The Crucible is the final test that Marine recruits endure before earning their Eagle, Globe, & Anchor. "For 54 straight hours, recruits' endurance, teamwork and skills will be pushed to the limit. Through perseverance and courage, they will finish as platoons and earn the title Marine. During The Crucible, recruits face: • Obstacles that must be negotiated as a team • Day and nighttime marches...
Nah, this aint it... mcrd san diego, outdoors, in full dress blues is the ticket. Much better presentation and a lot more memorable
❤🇺🇸
I remember this. It was the most amazing feeling ever!
Why the heck didn't the Co high shooter awardee get meritorious promotion to PFC at the 3:11 mark???
Always one that marches like this "\"
I was siced when I got my Eagle globe and anchor back in 2008
More agents to plunder the world.
Pure HONOR !!!.... Semper Fidelis Forever .... U.S. Marine 1972 - 1978
Lunatics.
Real heroes!!!
How long has this ceremony been this elaborate?
I want my hoverjet to pull my net up
Oh geez. Just Hand the Guide over. So over done.
Always right to surrender Marine Corps property when finishing basic. Guidons included. Felt so relieved to graduate and move on. Camp Penalty was not so delightful back then: too many parts that were leftover from previous decades.
Snap and POP!
Order and perfection

Why is this inside?
Too hot and humid for the families. The Marines had acclimated to the swampy conditions, but the crowd had not.
To keep their ears from getting sunburned.
I was my company guidon bearer in JROTC then once I went active duty you I volunteered to be my company guidon bearer
Wow some Pogue used a Robovoice. Someone needs to take away his or her Birthday and make them Push.

My list
I can remember doing this many years ago. I can remember practicing it for days.
How much practicing did you have to do? Obviously it's not something you want to mess up during graduation. Congratulations to you!
@@bigdee8189 he just told you days
Private Shooter recruited by Sgt. Deadly. XD
O maior exército do mundo love us
Just out of curiosity, when did they start doing these EGA ceremonies? When I graduated in Jul '85, we just had the regular grad ceremony and that was it. Nothing was handed out except our next orders.
In 1996 General Krulak introduced the crucible. The crucible is 54 hours long and simulates combat stress. Recruits are allowed limited food and sleep while engaging in multiple obstacle courses. Successful completion is the capstone to officially transition to Marine. The EGA ceremony occurs while recruits remain in combat utilities from the event after which the newly designated Marines are sent for showers and food. Drill instructors change behavior immediately upon conferring the EGA.
I am also curious. Nov 23, 1983 from San Diego. None of this happened.
My soldier Ceremony was nothing like this in the army
The chills
Inside??? Was it too hot out??
Two! Only two experts out of that whole group! WTF? Young men need fathers and grandfathers to guide them in the ways of the rifle, and handgun. Two proudest moments of my life, shooting a giant skunk raiding the chicken coop at 75yds with a Remington targetmaster 22lr single tray, right in the turn off switch, Granddad said I bet you can't. He slapped my back and said "Well I'll be." Strong words for a Baptist. The other, shooting 241 rifle, and training later 598 out of 600 pistol. God bless good men, and God bless the USMC.
VERY NEATLY DONE
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Semper Fi. Happy Birthday
Now the only thing that awaits these Marines is a shower, chow and a goodnight sleep and graduation ceremony and seeing there families finally!!
🤣🤣 yea...thanks for your "service". This dude. Fucking thief. Got sent away from his work center over and over for being a shithead and sucking at his job. Got fired for making a junior Marine do his PME. Guaranfuckingtee he paid someone for those rifle and pistol scores. He's currently in prison for stealing a bunch of skydiving gear from a non profit. Not exactly what I'd call faithful service.
I went home on leave and was so proud of my uniform I wanted to sleep in it.
Nothing makes me prouder than to see these hard working soldiers rewarded for their hard work. Congratulations to all of you.youve earned this.

Private dingus hehehheheheehheheehhehehe okay respect 👌👌👌
It was a lot more emotional getting my EGA on top of the reaper with a view of Camp Pendleton as the sun was rising. Semper Fi
but I was series guide for like a month and a half...that means I was the guide for the 3 platoons in our series
so don't get the words twisted. I was 1 of 3 with this in boot camp I wasn't the platoon guide. he was it from the first day of boot camp till the end because he was the only person in our platoon who was prior military. he dis like 4 or 6 years in the navy before the marines...marine corps is the only branch were we d ont have to do anyone else's boot camp if we decide to join but every branch has to do ours if they switch
Why were they wearing their boonie covers? Was this boot camp? We never got to were that shit...ever in boot camp.
The recruits just returned from The Crucible. The Marine Corps websites explain the event in sufficient detail.
November 10, 1775, Tun Tavern, Philadelphia, the first man signs his contract to enlist in the Continental Marines and steps outside. The second man does the same. The first walks over and says, "So, let me tell you about the old Corps."
How did they end up with those green uniforms? Most of the graduation videos I've seen have the graduates wearing the blue pants and white hats
The difference is the dress blue uniform vs the service uniform. Dress blues were used to designate the honor graduates of each platoon. The ceremonies you viewed may or may not have been a graduation ceremony for recruits of the Marine Corps at Parris Island. Standards of uniform for military ceremonies in general take into account a few factors: significance, location, weather, rank of attendees and others.
bwcarpenetti so, all marines were issued each uniform, but the one they wore depended on a number of factors then?
SPC America, correct.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA . i bet that retarded parris island arm swing helped on their nature walk "crucible".... hahahahahahahaha
